## What market signals are

A market signal is a public announcement that a company may soon need what you sell: a new plant, an expansion, a delayed project. In a signal profile you describe your offer and the event that makes a company a buyer. Enydea searches public sources in each country's own language, has an AI model read every new document, and stores each relevant find as a signal in English, with a fit score from 0 to 100 and a link to a relation in your CRM.

> **Note:** Market signals have no screen in the app. You work with them by asking the AI Assistant, or Claude or ChatGPT through the Enydea connector. The assistant panel is English only.

## Before you start

- Open the **AI Assistant** with the **AI** button and switch to **AGENT**, or set up the [connector](https://enydea.com/en/documentation/connect-ai-assistants-mcp.md).
- Check that your countries are covered (next section).
- Every document is read by AI, so a scan reads at most 40 new documents unless you ask for another number (up to 200).

## Sources

| Source | Countries | What is searched and read |
|---|---|---|
| Announcements of companies listed in China (the official disclosure site cninfo) | China | Announcement titles, searched in Chinese. The PDF is read. |
| Announcements of companies listed on NSE India | India | Company name, category and the exchange's one-line summary. Only announcements with a PDF are read. |
| News search in the country's language | Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam | Articles and press releases. The full article is read when the publisher's page allows it; otherwise only the headline. |

A profile uses every source whose country matches one of its target markets. Write the countries exactly as in the table: "UK" or "Korea" match nothing. You can also limit a profile to particular sources.

## Create a signal profile

Ask the assistant to save a signal profile and give it:

- A name. Saving again with the same name updates that profile.
- The products and services you sell.
- Target markets: the countries to watch.
- Customer segments, example customers and competitors. Competitors are never treated as buyers.
- The buying trigger: the event that makes a company a buyer, in plain words.
- Exclusions: what to leave out, for example closures or delays caused by permits.
- Fit criteria: for each, a label, what counts as a match, a weight from 1 to 5 (default 3) and whether it is required.
- Optional: the roles to approach. They are stored with the profile; the scan does not use them.

For example:

```
Save a signal profile named "New plants DACH". We sell industrial air compressors. Target markets: Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Segments: food plants, plastics processors. Buying trigger: a new plant or a capacity expansion. Exclusions: closures and job cuts. Fit criteria: "production site" (a manufacturing site, weight 5, required); "large project" (an investment of at least 10 million, weight 3).
```

The reply gives the profile ID and the sources that cover your markets.

## Run a scan

Ask the assistant to scan market signals for your profile. You can say how far back to look (default 90 days) and how many new documents to read.

1. Enydea writes up to eight search terms for each source, in that source's language, and keeps them for later scans. Saving the profile again resets them; you can also ask for new terms.
2. Each source is searched. Documents already read for your company are skipped.
3. The newest documents are read first, the sources taking turns, up to the limit. PDFs and pages in any language are read.
4. For each relevant document the signal records the company, country, type of event, scope, capacity, location, investment, the announced, original and revised completion dates, the months of delay and the reason, a summary, and per criterion yes, partial, no or unknown with the evidence.

A document that is not relevant is remembered and not read again. The scan runs in the background, outside the **LeadFinder Tasks** strip: ask the assistant how it is going.

## How the fit score works

Each criterion counts by its weight: yes counts fully, partial half, unknown a quarter, no nothing. Together the criteria make up 70 points, and a match on your buying trigger adds up to 30. A clear no on a required criterion sets the score to 0. When one of your exclusions applies, the score is 0 and the signal is left out of the list.

When several documents describe the same project at the same company, they become one signal with several sources, and it keeps the higher score.

## Signals and your CRM

- A signal is linked to the relation of the company it concerns. Names match when they differ only in capitals, spaces, punctuation, legal forms such as Ltd, GmbH or Inc, and text in brackets, or when a name of at least 8 characters starts the other.
- If none matches, Enydea creates one with status lead, the country and the tags `source:market-signal` and `signal-profile:` plus the profile name. It is named in English, with the local-script name in brackets when the source uses another script. It has no website, address or contact persons.
- A relation that already existed gets no tags.

## Read the results

Ask the assistant to list market signals, optionally for one profile, above a minimum fit score, or more than the default 20 (at most 100). The best fit comes first, each with its score, company, title, delay and reason, summary, fit per criterion, first source link and linked relation.

## Scan automatically

Ask the assistant to set the profile to scan every so many days, and how many documents an automatic scan may read (default 40). Once a day Enydea scans each profile whose interval has passed, looking back twice the interval and at least 14 days. New signals are not announced by email or notification; ask for the list.

An interval of 0 is ignored and keeps the old schedule. To stop automatic scans, set a long interval such as 365 days.

## Limits

- You cannot list or delete profiles, delete a signal or change its status. Keep the profile names you used.
- China and India are covered only through stock-exchange announcements, not news.
- A relation is also created when your exclusions then rule the signal out. It carries the tags but no listed signal.
- The AI reports what a document states. Open the source link before you act on a signal.
