Claude and ChatGPT can edit PowerPoint copies in your OneDrive
What changed
Claude and ChatGPT, connected through the Enydea connector, can work on a PowerPoint (.pptx) file in your OneDrive without downloading it. Enydea opens the deck on its server. The assistant gets the text and layout of the slides and sends back what to change. This works for decks of up to 250 MB.
inspect_office_filelists the slides with their text boxes and tables.edit_pptx_copysaves an edited copy next to the original: new text in a text box or table cell, find and replace, added text boxes and tables, and duplicated, moved or deleted slides. The design, layouts and pictures stay as they were.render_office_fileshows up to 6 slides at a time as pictures, so the assistant can check the copy.
A typical request: "Translate slides 2 to 5 of our company presentation into German and save it as a copy."
What it does not do
The original file is never changed or replaced, and if one change cannot be made, no copy is saved. Only .pptx files work, and the assistant cannot add pictures or charts.
Reconnect Microsoft once
Saving a copy needs permission to change files in your OneDrive. The Microsoft sign-in asks for it since 14 October 2026, so an earlier connection can only read. Each person reconnects once under Settings -> Email Integration -> Your Personal Mailbox: Disconnect, then Connect Account, and approve the permissions Microsoft lists. Until then the assistant reports that Enydea can read your OneDrive but may not save files there.
If the assistant does not offer the new tools, start a new chat or reconnect the connector.
How to use it
The connector reference lists the limits and the messages you may see. To set up the connector, see Tutorial: Connect Claude or ChatGPT.
