Tutorial: Post a video on LinkedIn with the AI Assistant
Goal
You post a video on LinkedIn, as yourself or as a company page, and check that it went out. This takes about 10 minutes, plus a few minutes while LinkedIn processes the video.
The Create & Schedule form in Social Media cannot attach your own video: its media picker offers only Enydea's own icons and pictures. The AI Assistant can, because it takes the video's address. Claude or ChatGPT connected through the Enydea connector can do the same.
Note: The AI Assistant panel and the Social Media screens are English only, also in the Dutch, German and French app.
What you need
- A LinkedIn account connected under Social Media -> Connect Accounts that does not show Expired or No working token. To post as a company page, add the page to that connection first. See Social Media and WhatsApp.
- The marketing relation that holds the LinkedIn connection, selected in Current Account in the sidebar.
- The video in Files for that relation, as an MP4 file. Upload it there (50 MB at most per file) or make it in Visualization. See Make a short product video.
Steps
Copy the video's address
- Open Files. Open the three-dot menu on the video and select Copy URL. The message "URL copied to clipboard" appears.
- Paste the address into a private browser window and check that the video plays without signing in. Enydea fetches the video from this address when it publishes.
Ask the AI Assistant
- Select AI at the bottom right of the screen. The Enydea AI panel opens.
- Select CHAT in the panel header so that it reads AGENT.
- Type one request that names the account or page, the text, the video address and the date, time and time zone, for example
Schedule a LinkedIn post on our company page Northwind Industrial Components for 14 October at 09:00 Amsterdam time. Text: See our new conveyor line in action. Video:followed by the address you copied. Leave out the date and time to get a draft instead. - Read the answer. It says whether the post was created and, if it is scheduled, when it goes out. If you have more than one LinkedIn connection, name the one to use. If the page is not added to the connection, the assistant tells you to add it in Manage Connected Accounts.
The assistant refuses a time in the past. It also does not schedule a second post within 6 hours of another scheduled post on the same account or page, unless you say you want both.
Check the post in Social Media
- Open Social Media. The post is in the list on the left under Scheduled, or under Drafts if you gave no time, with the LinkedIn logo.
- Select it. The video is under Media & Content, and the preview on the right shows the post as LinkedIn shows it.
- To change the text or the time, edit it, tick Schedule for later if needed, and select Save & Schedule. The video stays with the post.
- To post it at once instead, select the send icon (Publish now) on its row and confirm. It goes out within a minute.
Check your work
- After the scheduled time, switch on Published in the list. The post shows Posted. A video post can take a few minutes longer than a text post, because Enydea waits for LinkedIn to process the video, up to 5 minutes.
- Open LinkedIn and look at the profile or the page.
- If the post shows Failed, the list does not say why. Check that the LinkedIn connection does not show Expired and that the video address still plays in a private window. Then select Publish now on the row. Enydea also retries a failed post by itself about 15 minutes later.
