Tutorial: from market signals to companies in your CRM
Goal
You will describe which public event makes a company a buyer of what you sell, let Enydea scan news and stock-exchange filings for it, review the best signals, and add a website and contact persons to the companies worth pursuing. Plan about 30 minutes; the scan runs in the background for several minutes.
Note: Market signals have no screen in the app. You do every step except the Relations steps by asking the AI Assistant. The assistant panel is English only.
What you need
- The AI Assistant (the AI button at the bottom right), or Claude or ChatGPT with the Enydea connector. See AI assistant connector.
- Target countries that a source covers. See the list in Market signals.
- Two or three things that make a signal a good fit for you, for example the kind of site or the size of the project.
Steps
Select AI and switch the panel to AGENT.
Ask the assistant to save a signal profile. Give a name, what you sell, the countries (spelled as in the source list), your customer segments, the buying trigger, what to exclude and your fit criteria with a weight from 1 to 5. Mark a criterion as required if a signal is useless without it. For example:
Save a signal profile named "New plants DACH". We sell industrial air compressors. Target markets: Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Segments: food plants, plastics processors. Buying trigger: a new plant or a capacity expansion. Exclusions: closures and job cuts. Fit criteria: "production site" (a manufacturing site, weight 5, required); "large project" (an investment of at least 10 million, weight 3).Read the reply. It names the sources that cover your countries. If it says none do, check the spelling of the countries and save the profile again under the same name.
Start a small first scan: "Scan market signals for New plants DACH, last 60 days, at most 20 documents." The reply gives a task ID.
After a few minutes, ask the assistant how the scan is going. When the task is completed, the result shows how many documents were found, read and relevant, and the best signals. The scan does not appear in the LeadFinder Tasks strip.
Ask "List market signals for New plants DACH with a fit of at least 50." Open the source link of each promising signal and read the original.
Open Relations. Click the filter icon (Open filters), type
signal-profile:New plants DACHin Tags and click Apply Filters. You see the companies the scan added, with status lead.Open a company you want to pursue. Switch off Locked Mode in the three-dot menu and type the company's website in Website. Optional: click Get Company Info, choose what to keep and click Apply Selected Changes.
Back in the assistant, ask for decision makers at that company, for example "Find the plant manager and the head of engineering at" followed by the company name. The assistant searches the web for people in those roles and saves them as contact persons. Or ask it to find email addresses for the company with Hunter.io.
Repeat steps 8 and 9 for the other companies you want.
Note: A signal about a company that was already in your CRM is linked to that relation and does not get the tags. The signal list shows the linked relation.
Check your work
- In Relations, the filter from step 7 lists the new companies.
- Open one of them. The Website is filled in and the Contact Person tab lists the people the assistant found, with their role in Function/Position.
- An email address built from the company's address pattern is a guess. Check it before you mail that person.
Next steps
- Scan every week: ask the assistant to set the profile to scan every 7 days, reading at most 20 documents each time. New signals are not announced; ask for the list.
- Reach the companies: build a dynamic mailing list with the Has tag filter. See Mailing lists and segments.
- Learn the scoring, the sources and the limits: Market signals.
- Find companies by industry and country instead of by event: LeadFinder.
