Make a short product video and share it

Level: IntermediateLast updated:

Goal

You make a short product video, find the finished file, share a link to it and put it on a landing page. This takes about 15 minutes of your time; the video is created in the background.

What you need

  • A marketing relation selected in Current Account in the sidebar. Without one, Visualization is a blank page.
  • A desktop browser and a short description of your product.
  • For the last part, a landing page. See Landing pages.
  • AI generation can be billed as usage. Company admins can check the AI usage figure at Settings -> Account -> Plan & Usage.

Option A: AI Video Pipeline

The pipeline writes a script, creates scene images and clips, and joins them.

  1. Open Visualization. On the Scene Creator tab, select AI Video Pipeline. The dialog opens on the Setup tab.
  2. Type a Pipeline Name, for example Product Launch Video.
  3. In Creative Brief, describe the video: who or what is in it, where, which shots and how it ends. Use at least 20 characters; more detail helps.
  4. Optional: fill in Target Audience.
  5. Set Duration (seconds) (5 to 300) and pick a Visual Style: Cinematic, Commercial, Documentary, Animated, Corporate or Social Media.
  6. Under Enhancement Options, choose Upscale scene images (higher quality), Crossfade transitions between scenes and Generate AI narration (TTS) with a Narration Voice (Nova, Alloy, Echo, Fable, Onyx or Shimmer).
  7. Select Create Pipeline, then Run Full Pipeline. To review the script first, select Generate Script Only instead, check the Script & Scenes tab, then continue with Generate Assets and Generate Scenes.
  8. The app shows "Full pipeline started". Follow the progress bar and "% complete" while it runs. You can close the dialog; the pipeline keeps running on the server. To come back, select AI Video Pipeline again and pick your pipeline under Existing Pipelines.
  9. If a scene fails, select Retry Failed Scenes. When the status is Completed, the final video is stored in the relation's files. The dialog also shows Download Final Video.

Option B: Scene Creator

  1. On the Scene Creator tab, select General Settings. Enter a video name, set the Duration and pick a size under Select video size, then select Save.
  2. Select the speed-dial button and choose Add new text or Add new image. Repeat for each element.
  3. Select an element on the canvas, open Open Animation Menu and select the plus button (Add animation to selection). Choose an Animation type, then set Duration and Start.
  4. Use the playback controls to preview the scene.
  5. Open the three-dot menu and select Convert to video. Confirm with Yes, type a name and select Save.
  6. A message says converting can take a while, that you can keep working and that you will be notified once it is ready. Close the message with Yes or No and carry on.

Find the video in Files

  1. Open Files with the same relation selected.
  2. Select Refresh, then search for the name, or set File Type to Videos under Filters. If it is missing, use All Files.
  3. Open the three-dot menu on the file and select Preview to watch it. If there is no Preview, select Open instead.
  1. In the Scene Creator three-dot menu, select Copy Share Link. If the app says "Save your project first before sharing.", select Save and try again.
  2. Open the copied link in a private browser window before you send it. The public page plays the video if the saved record has one, otherwise it shows a still preview, otherwise it says "This presentation has not been rendered as a video yet."

Use the video on a landing page

  1. Open Landing Pages, select your page and open the Sections tab.
  2. Under Add section: select animation.
  3. If the list Use a rendered Video Creator video shows your video, select it. Otherwise open Files, choose Copy URL on the video, open the copied address in a new browser tab to check it plays, and paste it into Video URL (mp4).
  4. Optional: add a Poster image URL and a Caption.
  5. Select Save. Select Publish when you are ready.

A booking page can play a video behind it: in the booking link dialog, open Booking page: where to meet, agenda, photo and video and look at Background video from the Video Creator. If your video is not listed, use the landing page. See Scheduling and booking links.

Check your work

  • The video appears in Files and plays when you preview or open it.
  • The landing page preview (eye icon) shows the video in the animation section.
